Industry Training Auckland (ITA) was moving only a short distance within its home suburb of Newmarket, but the new space was a big change. HIVE delivered a full commercial fit-out that combined two tenancies into one, reconfigured the layout and created three new purpose-built training rooms.

Reuse was central to the design. Wherever possible, HIVE kept and reconfigured existing walls and glass partitions instead of replacing them. This sustainable approach cut construction waste, sped up the programme and kept overall costs down, without compromising a modern, functional learning environment.

As ITA's turnkey fit-out partner, HIVE managed every stage, from design and building services through to furniture, relocation and the final clean..

Design and build of three new training rooms
Combining two tenancies and reconfiguring the full floor plan
Reuse and reconfiguration of existing walls and glass partitions
New electrical and HVAC services
Compliance scheduling for fire and electrical safety
Supply and installation of acoustic panels and whiteboards
Full-site painting and decorating
Carpet removal and new carpet supply
Furniture procurement management
Full relocation and set-up of the new office
Post-tenancy clean of the previous premises
